Yet another new region has become active. Many thanks to Chay Jackson for stepping up to the plate and becoming the Regional Organiser for Leicester RA67. Chay has wasted no time in getting the ball rolling with a Talk by Dr Paul Garner:

The evening will commence at 1930-1945 ish’ and there will also be a raffle to win tackle prizes. There is a bar and food available via the restaraunt.

East Mids Angling Trust / PAC Pike Coaching

We are delighted to announce that we will be working with the Angling Trust in holding pike fishing coaching sessions on the River Soar In January 2013.

The dates for these sessions are 12th, 19th and 26th January at Sutton Bonnington. This event is open to junoirs and adults alike. Please book your place as soon as possible.

The fee for the sessions is £3 and every participant will receive free membership to Loughborough Soar Angling Society.

Bedford going from Strength to Strength!

After Bedfords first meeting, which was a fantastic night, i have received this Event Alert from RO Andy Sydell.

“Christmas is coming, the pike are getting fat…

Following on from our great opening meeting with Denis Moules, we can now tell you that there is
another treat in store for December at Bedford PAC!
There can’t be many anglers that have had made such an impact on the Pike fishing scene as our next
guest. The challenge is, how do you introduce a man who has caught well over 400 20lb plus pike,
is a former UK record holder with a 41lb 60z Broadland pike, Daiwa consultant, tackle shop owner,
Pike and Predator magazine editor and writer, Angling Times columnist, published author, bait company
owner …no, I don’t know either!

So all I’ll say is you’d better not miss our next event on the 12th December when we will be
welcoming Neville Fickling to Region 106! This is going to be a big night and knowing Neville, it’ll
be one when everyone will be inspired by his tales and pictures and take away a few new tips and ideas,
regardless how experienced you may be! Neville will also have some of his books for sale so for that
last minute Christmas present…

And if that wasn’t enough, there will of course be our monthly raffle, tackle stands and even a bring
and buy table for any unwanted items of tackle (just contact me beforehand if you want to bring
anything along).

So for a little early Christmas cheer, and maybe a mince pie or two come and see us at The Wingfield
Club, 37 Church Street, Ampthill, Bedford MK45 2PL at 7.30pm. Entry is £3.00 for PAC members,
£4.00 for everyone else.

New Region – Kettering RA108

We are delighted to announce that yet another new region has been set up, this time in Kettering, Northants. Well done to the new RO Mark Pierrpont for establishing the region. I am sure it will be a big success.

A thank you must also go to Marks’ employer, W.M.Morrison for allowing Mark to put up a PAC notice board in the supermarket. I’m sure it will get plenty of attention when anglers are in there buying their deadbaits. Fantastic initiative there Mark!

Two Pike Legends at Willow Grange

Mick Brown and Neville Fickling will be at Willow Grange Fishing bait and tackle shop on Saturday 24^th November from 10am to 4pm. As well as signing copies of their books, Professional Pike Angler (Mick) and Big Water Pike(Neville) they will be on hand to discuss various methods of Pike fishing and answer any questions.

Mick has a wealth of knowledge on Lure fishing and will be discussing the many different methods of fishing the sensational Rapala lures and Neville, who owns the famous Luce baits company, will be sharing his enormous knowledge of dead bait fishing.

New Region – Lincolnshire Fens RA107

We are delighted to announce the establishment of yet another new region! RA107 will cover the south Lincolnshire fens area. The RO for the region is Peter Jones. Many long standing PAC names will know of Peter as he was an RO back in the 90′s. He was also one of the founders of the Pike Fly Association. Peter has remained heavily involved in pike and wildlife conservation and his website can be found here; www.fenlandwildlife.webs.com

We wish Peter every success with setting up the new region.

New Region – Scunthorpe & Humberside RA56
