THE 'PIKE' OLIVETTE
by
Peter Robinson

On this page is outlined one of my ideas for a quick change weight system which I have been using for some time now.

This is a version of the weights used by pole anglers to replace bulk shotting, but scaled up in size to suit the pike anglers requirements.

I use them in varying sizes as a quick change weight for trolling, wobbling ordrifter float fishing or indeed as a semi fixed leger, as an alternative to split shot which can damage your line

To make one - epoxy glue a suitable stem (fibreglass drifter float stems are ideal) into a drilled bullet of suitable 'safe weight' material and attach via two short lengths of silicone tubing threaded on themainline. SIMPLE!
